I would not be so harsh. No way for you to know if this was a corrupted report or what. And no such thing as wasted time. There is always value in reading, testing and playing around with these things. My learning from this; I've never seen this issue before, but it will be something to keep in mind. I'd normally KB something like this, but as it's soooo weird I'll just consign this to my brain for now.
