Hi,
if you use the right search help, this sounds like either a mess in the data or someobody, who didn't know what they where doing, where messing around with standard evaluation paths and standard search helps.
I assume, OM-PA integration si switched on, right?
When you open the search help for this field, the best way to find the right position is choosing "structure search" did you do that? If now, please do so - it should be an option in your search help window.
If you see weird stuff in structure search, click on the second button from the right on the bottom of the window as indicated in the screenshot below. It shows you the evaluation path used for the search. if it doesn't look like this one, but has workflow objects and other stuff in, then you need to get serach helps and/or evaluation paths sorted.
2 easy ways, this can have been messed up:
- changing the standard evaluation path SBESX: make sure it is still the same as in client 000
- changing the value in T77S0 for teh key PPWAY - SBESX. This has to be "SBESX"
More difficult ways to mess it up:
any meddling with standard search help HRBAS00OBJID and its components (most notably HRBAS00OBJID2 and its exit RHF4_EXIT_OBJID_STRU).
You see: lots of options. None of these elements is usually changed and if so, it is done by someone, who knows the side affects.
But consultants with no clue about HR configuring things in workflow (without knowing much more about that) love to shoot down OM config. So, if workflow has been used before OM had been in place or if recent workflow changes have been made, this would be a good starting point to ask people (and replace them).
hope thsi helps you to find the right starting points for your repair work - if it's not just a simple case of users using teh wrong search helps and not being able to interpret them, in which case simply switching to structure search will do the trick.
